| Description | Much of Ektomorf’s oeuvre focuses on the racism and discrimination faced by the Romani people (known colloquially though incorrectly as capital-G “Gypsy” peoples). During the Holocaust, there was a Romani genocide as well, although it is less widely known than the Holocaust’s other victims. Roma victims in the Holocaust are estimated to range from 250,000 to as high as 1.5 million, anywhere from 25% to nearly 75% of the Roma population in Europe at the time. |
