| Description | The concept for ‘5’ was initially conceived when producer Eli.yf demanded that Rsieh Raxan either release a song on one of his beats, or be blackballed by the underground hip-hop scene. This prompted Rsieh to immediately record on the instrumental currently used in the final version of the track. With only five cents to his name at the time, Rsieh was inspired to incorporate the word “five” anaphorically within the hook. While experiencing one of the lowest points in his life, Rsieh knew that he would have to create something truly extraordinary with ‘5’ if he wanted to return to his prior levels of success.
‘5’ was initially met with strong critical and audience reception upon release. Fans often regard ‘5’ as one of the greatest songs from Rsieh’s discography.
