| Description | While in Dead Town, Elsie and Isaac become so, so close, and then gradually fall apart. Not because something huge and dramatic happens, not because they end up hating each other, but because they need to go their separate ways in order to progress as people and escape the situation they find themselves in. It’s about how loss and love can go hand in hand, and despite eventually losing each other, they part ways, not with hatred, but with so much love. Eventually, it’s possible that they, or at least one of them, decides to venture out and enter The World Outside, leaving the Dead Town for good despite the risk. They’re willing to accept the danger if it’s the only way they might be able to escape the Dead Town. They move on with their lives despite The Fear. Because they have to. And they know that now. |
